Pietro Pizzagalli voted Breeder of the Year at Fieragricola 2020
Our commitment to running our directly owned supply chain following the principles of animal welfare and reducing the use of drugs on Fumagalli Industria Alimentari SpA farms was rewarded at this year’s FIERAGRICOLA trade fair in Verona. The title “Breeder of the year”, awarded by the magazine Informatore Zootecnico, was given to Pietro Pizzagalli, head of our breeding centres, for the large-scale implementation of the strictest animal welfare standards. This acknowledgement recognises the modern concept of our pig farms which are increasingly sustainable, efficient, animal-friendly and antibiotic-free and which use GMO-free feed that, in many cases, is locally produced.
